Spoiled rottenI know I've said it before, but prednisone is a funny drug.  I've NEVER been a morning dog.  Now that I am hungry ALL THE TIME,  I get up as soon as I think I can possibly get some food service.  It used to be that I would get up for breakfast with the bosses maybe half the time.  Since I've been on the hungry maker, I always get up, even if I feel extra sleepy.  I figure I can catch a nap later, but I might not otherwise catch a bite to eat until lunch time.  Today when I got up, I went outside before breakfast and at 5:50 am I told the whole neighborhood "I AM HUNGRY" at the top of my lungs.  Even though I am a small dog, that is still pretty loud.  I think all of my neighbors love me.  I mean, come on, to know the Bit is to love the Bit.  They will forgive my little indiscretion.  Or better yet, blame Lyle, he, he, he!

So I know I've been a little behind in my journal entries lately.  My pack went to the artic circle for Christmas.  Okay, maybe Milwaukee.  Then my computer crashed.  But now I'm back.  And it's good to be home.  I'll get back to the more regular updates, unless of course there is something more pressing (like food or even more unlikely, a sunny day).

I know it doesn't fit with my entry, but how could I not put this picture up?Our trip to Wisconsin, was kind of long.  It started out on December 22nd, which started out as every other day here-rainy.  (Okay, okay-a slight exaggeration).  The boss ma'am was on call and the boss man was running around working, getting things ready for the trip.  Someone likes his new macro lens. Finally, the boss ma'am comes home from work about midnight just before the rain starts to freeze.  By the time we woke up on the 23rd, it was a winter wonderland here.  Well, I had a date with Grandma Tudy and her sister Mutz on Christmas Eve, so I told the boss, what good is having a big four wheel drive Dodge Ram if it can't get through a little snow and ice.  He said, sure, we could make it, but what if there is an accident on the road and traffic is stopped?  Well, we headed out and after 70 miles, the ice had turned into about 15 inches of snow.  Grandma Tudy seemed so far away. Now, Michael, why don't you feed Little Bit. We are celebrating Christmas after all.

Well, long story short, we made it and it only took an extra four and a half hours.  It could have been much worse.

I got up early on Christmas Eve to get my third injection of vincristine.  I'd like to send out a big thank you bark to the good people at the Burleigh Road Animal Hospital for helping to get me healthy over the holidays.  Anyway, it was -7o F.  Who would want to live in Wisconsin with weather like that?!?  Good thing I packed my coat.  Even Lyle was cold.  Brrrrrr.  Thank you!!!

Later, we went to the boss man's parents house.  Just like they told me, Grandma Tudy and her sister Mutz were there to feed me.  Let me tell you, they know what dogs like to eat.  And maybe more importantly, they know how OFTEN dogs like to eat.    Life was good.

The next day was, of course, Christmas.  Now if you know me, you know what my all time favorite breakfast food is in all of the world.  WAFFLES baby!  (No, not baby waffles-big ones.)  Well, to borrow a phrase, it was Good Eats for breakfast and the rest of the day was looking pretty good too.  The boss ma'am's family was coming and that included her neices, Grace and Elizabeth, and I was sure that meant a little something-something for me.    Let me just say it was a very merry Christmas indeed!

The rest of our trip was also very nice.  It was very good to see the extended pack.  I don't get to see them very often so it was nice to hang out with them.  Happily, the drive home went much quicker and, even better, it included several licks of Culver's frozen custard.   Mmmm, frozen custard.   Mmmm, butter burgers.   Mmmm, french fries.   Mmmm, fried cheese curds.  Mmmm, so many other tasty, tasty things that I had on my trip.

Well, since I got up early to bark at the neighborhood, I think I'll just take a little nap.   Maybe dream about all of the wonderful things I had to eat while on vacation, with my whole pack.  On vacation, with my whole pack...

TTFN.
